Happisburgh Lighthouse in Happisburgh on the North Norfolk coast is the only independently operated lighthouse in Great Britain. It is also the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia having been constructed in 1790. It is open to the public on occasional Sundays during the summer. The coastal part of the village is subject to frequent coastal erosion.
