The Lancaster is the most well known and successful RAF heavy bomber of World War II. 7,377 were built and today only two are considered airworthy. The Lancaster PA474 was built on May 31st, 1945 just after Victory Day. The war had ended in the Far East before she was deployed and she was not used in any hostilities.
