The Scottish Fold was founded in 1961 in Perthshire, Scotland. They’re difficult to breed, as they can only be bred with straight eared cats. The result of breeding two folded eared cats together is impaired kittens. Their litters tend to be smaller and not all kittens will have folded ears.
